Over last weekend, I increased the number of North Carolina wineries I have visited by three! My NC Winery count is now at 28!
Come back soon to learn about some more great wineries! Two are even easily accessible off I-85! My last post covered the first winery on the alphabetical list. Sunday, I visited the last on the list. Zimmerman Vineyards was a last-minute stop for me, but was a wonderful setting with exceptional wines! A few miles off I-85, it is a nice break on the trip from The Triangle to Charlotte! Another great I-85 stop is the surprising and fun Old Stone Winery (think 19 great wines to taste!). A bit off the path, Owl's Eye Vineyards in Shelby delivers stunning views and great wines. Over the next few days, I will give details of my visits to these three special North Carolina wineries!
